According to a recent UNICEF world report, 119 million girls do not attend school. Even more, only 24 percent of girls reach upper secondary education. We tackle this issue by partnering with local village schools to expand educational opportunities for girls. Shockingly, many of these girls must end their education due to inability to afford menstruation pads. This is unacceptable. Since 2020, we have raised support to fund annual menstruation pads for school girls, notably in Kabale Ugandan villages. A mere $9 USD satisfies our girls' menstruation needs for an entire year. We welcome you to join hands.
Food scarcity is often a challenge among many of the populations we serve. Hence, each session hosts a meal and clean water for students.
Following the model of "Everyone Can Be a Philanthropist" our 2024 projects have collected nearly 1,000 garments and growing. In addition to curriculum, food, and menstruation needs, we will now include clothing distribution to the students and families within our program. We aim to develop the total child: mind, heart and body.
The Bring Joy Foundation launched its first education initiatives in 2020. To date, these projects deliver custom leadership curriculum that is centered upon specific community needs. We create access to technology and work to close digital gaps by introducing students to internet-based learning in some of the most remote regions of the world. Our model inspires children to dream beyond boundary.
